Cruyff Court Molenbeek’s first football tournament to kick off the #ChangeOurGame public campaign

On Thursday, June 28, the first mini Cruyff tournament will be played in Brussels. This will start off the #ChangeOurGame public campaign. During the tournament, participants and spectators will be able to meet young Cruyff Coaches from Molenbeek and Mechelen and see the Cruyff Court in action. After the tournament, the RWDM Football club will welcome all football fans to watch the Red Devils against England in their third World Cup match - on a big screen in their Edmond Machtens Stadium.

Public campaign #ChangeOurGame

Rotary Club Brussels Cantersteen and the platform PlayandPeace start a unique collaboration with RWDM Girls with the public campaign #ChangeOurGame. During the upcoming football season, the three partners commit to support the sale of the song ChangeOurGame and raise money for the following causes:

  • A benefit concert for the victims of the terrorist attacks in Belgium
  • A third Cruyff Court in Belgium (after Mechelen and Molenbeek)
  • Focus on women's football in Belgium and in particular support for the RWDM Girls

The positive and hopeful song ChangeOurGame that was written after the attacks in Brussels and Zaventem can be purchased here for 2.5 euros.

The public campaign ChangeOurGame is being carried out by the first team of RWDM Girls. The RWDM Girls start the campaign in Brazil, where they participate on behalf of Belgium in the prestigious Neymar Jr Fives Tournament in July.

David Lamb, President Rotary Club Cantersteen: "Rotary Club Brussels Cantersteen is extremely proud to become the main sponsor of RWDM Girls for the upcoming football season. We want to support RWDM girls in their positive development. Together with the girls and PlayandPeace, we want to bring success to the #ChangeOurGame public campaign. I hope everyone joins in and buy the song. This is how we can show solidarity with the victims and how we can support youth- through sport and through exercise!”

Doranthina Likaj, RWDM Girls: "We have been involved in the activities of the Platform PlayandPeace from the beginning - in 2016 - and we hope that many people in Belgium will buy the song ChangeOurGame, so that we can give this money to the victims of senseless violence and also the CRUYFF Court project. With this public campaign we follow in the footsteps of Barcelona in supporting UNICEF. We are very happy with the support of Rotary Club Brussels Cantersteen for the upcoming season. "

Alderman Ann Goris, commune of Sint-Jans-Molenbeek: ""I support 200% this wonderful campaign #ChangeOurGame with as ambassadors the great players that are the Molenbeek Girls ... Buy the song ChangeOurGame represents an act of solidarity .. Really, we need you..we need you! "
